Beginning Monday, March 16th, if the patient calls for fever, cough, and shortness of breath, we will phone triage the patient about illness and travel history to high-risk areas and potential exposure. Those who do not pass the screen will be further guided to have coronavirus screen by CDC guideline. We will also be screening every employee daily prior to their work shift. All employees have also been asked to self-monitor for fever, cough, or shortness of breath, and to avoid close contact with people who are sick. Employees with symptoms will not be present in our work force.
For patients concerned about the risk of coronavirus, Medical City Virtual Care is free option for screening: Please use this website : MedicalCityVirtualCare.com and select the COVID-19 option to begin the screening process. The screening and virtual care is free of charge and will help direct you to the appropriate point of care. allowing the patient to stay at home and prevent the spread of illness.
