HONG XIAO, M.D.
Dr. Xiao dedicates herself to empowering her patients and their families to live longer, healthier lives. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she has a passion for practicing comprehensive medicine and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
Hong brings more than 20 years of experience to Fairway Family Medicine. She previously served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, instructing both residents and medical students and seeing patients on a day-to-day basis. She was given the best teaching award many times by residents and medical students over the years.
Dr. Xiao has contributed book chapters for the 5-minute clinical consult and is an avid member of the Dallas healthcare community. She previously served as the President of the Texas Chinese Physicians Association, as an Executive Officer of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians Dallas chapter, and as a committee member for the Texas Academy of Family Physician. Hong is a firm believer in “paying it forward” and participates in health fairs across the DFW metroplex. Dr. Xiao has a particular interest in preventative care, chronic disease management, and health care across the spectrum of ages.
Hong lives in Lewisville, Texas, with her husband and four sons. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, jogging, and spending time with her family.
